Dear MaFLA members,
I invite you to participate in phase two of the survey "Needs Assessment for designing articulated K 12 language programs." Preliminary results of this survey were shared with members of the Delegate Assembly at ACTFL 2007. The purpose of this survey is to gather information on the practices and procedures of teachers and administrators. Results of this survey will facilitate professional development needs toward designing well articulated K 12 programs for foreign language learners. This survey is being administered through the department of Secondary Education in the Division of Education at Queens College.
This survey was developed from self assessments featured in the appendices of the document, Understanding Articulation, Designing for Performance: A Guide for Action in Planning Language Programs by Ruta Couet, Gregory Duncan, Jennifer Eddy, Myriam Met, Martin Smith, Maria Still, and Ann Tollefson. This project has been underwritten by generous support from the National Foreign Language Center (University of Maryland) and the National K 12 Foreign Language Resource Center (Iowa State University). Our sincere thanks to both Dr. Myriam Met and Dr. Marcia Rosenbusch for their help with this project.
Thank you for your participation in this survey:
