MaFLA 2004 Poster Contest Winners

Multilingualism Makes the World Go Around

Dear MaFLA Colleagues:

The 2004 Poster Contest was once again an exciting activity for 44 MaFLA members in 34 schools across the state.  This year's competition attracted 115 posters:  76 middle, and 39 high.  The theme, "Mutilingualism Makes the World Go Around," was depicted in many creative ways by all participants and the talent of the artists was once again exceptional.  In addition, the change in criteria adopted for this year's contest gave students the opportunity to express themselves in a less restrictive fashion.

Judging of all entries took place at the home of Mrs. Maxine Bonneau, artist and teacher at Holy Name School in Fall River.  MaFLA wishes to extend a special thank you to Mr. David Connell, advertising-design and new media instructor at Rogers High School,  for his assistance in photographing the winning entries.

The following students were chosen as this year’s winners.
